Opportunities for Promotion

The annual walk from the San Gabriel Mission to El Pueblo to celebrate the birthday of the founding of Los Angeles Pueblo by the Los Pobladores (September 4, 1781) will be held this year on September 1, 2008. In the square at Olvera Street, many booths from various local organizations such as the Las Angelitas organization will be sharing information.

If any of the LA Heritage Alliance organizations want a booth, they can get all the details from john.kopcznski@lacity.org.

Also, Lester from Las Angelitas has extended an invitation to all the LAHA members to consider a visit to EL Pueblo for all of their members. The Las Angelitas will be pleased to give them a free walking tour at 10, 11 and 12 AM from Tuesday thru Saturday, as well as at other times with specially arranged reservations. Details of the tour on their web site at http://www.lasangelitas.org/.
